Understanding the Different Levels of Coaching

Are you looking to become a coach and want to gain a better understanding of the different levels of coaching? There are various training courses, workshops, programs, presentations and seminars available to help you become a successful coach. At the Executive Coaching Center, we offer an open day and master class on the fundamentals of executive coaching, known as Active Inquiry. For younger shooters, the junior coach is an excellent way to learn safety and team activities. To become a junior coach, you must be aged between 15 and 17 and demonstrate leadership in shooting programs.

You must also successfully complete the discipline-specific Level 1 Coaching School and obtain recommendations from a parent and coach. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) offers three different training credentials: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.To become a Level 1 coach, you must be at least 18 years old and successfully complete the discipline-specific Level 1 Coaching School. The Executive Coaching Center is accredited by the ICF as a Level 2 organization. To obtain a Level 2 or Level 3 coaching credential, you must first become a Level 1 coach and complete additional training.

The NRA Coaches Education Program provides training at various levels for competitive shooting sports coaches in partnership with USA Shooting, the Civil Aiming Program, the Amateur Trap Association, the National Skeet Association and the National Clay Sports Association. The certified advanced coach (level) is recognized for training advanced athletes and is eligible to work internationally in Olympic youth shooting camps and other international shooting programs sponsored by USA Shooting. No matter what level of coaching you are looking to pursue, it is important to understand the different levels of coaching available. With the right training and guidance, you can become a successful coach in your chosen field.
